I found this place by accident after a one-day work trip from New York was extended. The house is a beautifully maintained historical landmark. The gardens are spectacular, with several ponds, duck islands, hidden walks and bridges and arbores. The whole place is rich with old blossoming shrubs and trees and I wake up to rich and varied bird song. AND: a really good espresso machine. After breakfast, there is no food in house, but the Fox in Sharpthorne less than 2 miles serves really good food. The people here could not be nicer or more accommodating.

We came for a three-night stay. Maria welcomed us and helped us brilliantly. We had a spacious room with a bath and shower. The breakfast buffet was well presented and maintained by Lina. Everything fresh. We followed the suggestion for dinner at the coach and horses and the cat inn. Both were fine. The grounds are stunning. We will come back!

Had a fantastic time over the weekend and from the minute we arrived we were attended to with very well mannered and helpful/friendly staff, the room was great, very comfy bed and everything we needed as well as a very clean ensuite, the ground itself were truly amazing and complemented by the wonderful weather we took a walk by the pond and had a relaxing time chilling outside with the nature around us, the food at breakfast and dinner was lovely and can’t stress enough how amazing and friendly Stuart and Sam were throughout, would definitely go back again!!

Stayed here for the weekend with my kids and some family. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, could imagine weddings here would be idyllic. The food was very good. Rooms spacious and comfortable, lots of room amenities. The building is very old with so much character and they’re obviously putting a lot of work into making it modern and nice without jeopardizing with the old beauty. Staff were very nice, very helpful, I managed to misplace my bag and shoes during my stay and staff went out their way to help me find them. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to other.

We arrived at Ravenswood after a very long flight from California, a delay due to “the beast from the east” storm, and after a dark, icy, snowy drive, we found the lovely place, and the friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, warm, had a nice view out over the woods, and was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the house itself is really lovely and in a beautiful setting, although it was too cold and snowy to really explore the grounds when we were there. Ravenswood is very convenient to Gatwick Airport—which we have found is much easier to get in and out of than Heathrow. We spent two nights there and hope to return in the future.

We had an amazing valentines 3 course meal, good size meal, excellent. Very welcoming & brilliant service, the entertainment was very good too. We didn’t stay over night but will next time. Kids are looking forward to Mother’s Day & Abba tribute disco which we’ve booked already.

We came to Ravenswood to visit Saint Hill. During our stay we had a lovely time at The Ravenswood Hotel. The rooms are neat, and you experience this certain British charm everywhere. It’s perfect to have a relaxing stay as it is located in the middle of an extensive landscape. The gardens of the hotel seem like a garden stolen from a fairy tale. We look forward to visiting The Ravenswood again!

Stayed here for 2 nights over the august bank holiday whilst visiting family nearby. As we pulled into the car park we were amazed at what we found. A beautifully maintained old country manor house that resembled something from a costume drama. This is a very quiet location, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly and are obviously putting everything into making this new venture a success. Our room was large and clean, nicely decorated with a huge bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with bacon, eggs, sausages and a range of croissants and toast etc. The grounds are immaculate and have ponds, woods, walks, gardens and fruit trees. There is a lovely folly that has been prepared for wedding ceremonies. We spent hours in the grounds just taking it all in. The only sounds we could hear were the birds and the local bluebell railway puffing away. This is an excellent venue for weddings and parties, and the 30 or so rooms are terrific for a weekend away from it all. All in all, we had a fabulous weekend, and wish the new owners every success in what they are trying to achieve.
